Pickleball arrived in Chennai relatively recently but has grown quickly. Courts have appeared across ECR, Anna Nagar, Velachery, Adyar, and elsewhere, and the player base is expanding at every level — from people picking up a paddle for the first time to athletes from other racket sports crossing over.
What Compete runs
Compete organises ranked and casual pickleball tournaments for singles and doubles across Chennai. Events happen at partner courts distributed across the city, with new events added regularly as the player base grows.
All events are officiated by a Compete umpire or tournament director. Results are validated officially and feed into player skill ratings on the public leaderboard.

Why play in tournaments
Club play tells you how you perform against your regular group. Compete tournaments tell you how you perform against the city. Your first few tournaments establish your baseline rating. Every tournament after that refines it.
